Emergency Protocols

Inclement Weather, Power Outages, & Teacher Cancellations:

 

Weather can be unpredictable! In case of inclement weather, such as snow and wind, we will notify you through our communication channels, namely email via class cancellations and a closure email. 

 

We do not follow the school’s decisions when it comes to closures and delays. 

 

If an email or cancellation notification is not received, we are likely open! 

 

Since you will be notified via email, please be sure that your email address on Opus is the correct one! Otherwise, important updates may be missed.

 

In the event of a closure, private lesson students will receive a class pass credit to reschedule your lesson, before the end of the semester. This will be automatically added to your Opus account, and in most instances, you can schedule with your teacher on your end! Group class students will be contacted about a make-up date lesson. If we are not able to offer a make-up date, we will credit your account the amount of a trial lesson for the class. 

 

If we are open and you are unable to make it into the studio, we always have a virtual option for lessons! We use google meet or zoom for virtual lessons, so you and your teacher can figure out what works best for you. If that option does not work for you, it would be treated like any other absence and you’ll be sent a lesson plan and assignments to work on throughout the week!
